Our Sports Day was once again a very special event. Early in the morning, at 6:00 a.m., everything was still quiet as the first dedicated colleagues began setting up the activity stations. By 8:00 a.m., the classes had arrived — and, to our delight, so had a little sunshine.
After the warm-up session, for which we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Dietrich, the day got underway. The children took turns enjoying the sports activities as well as breaks filled with games and fun together.
Twice we were thoroughly soaked by sudden rain showers, but that certainly did not dampen anyone’s spirits. And of course, the ice cream kindly provided each year by the parents’ association tasted delicious whatever the weather!
A huge thank you goes to all our parent helpers, without whom the day simply would not be possible, to our colleagues and children for their fantastic enthusiasm and commitment, and to the parents’ association for the sweet treat at the end.
